Field School Ages 10-14

We are currently offering a class for 10-14 year olds on Fridays, from 10:00-noon. These classes are held in 6-8 weeks sessions.

September 20-November 1 (no class October 18).

Cost for a 6 week session is $120.

Classes will be held outdoors on public/private lands around Helena area. Exact location will vary depending on the lesson. Each Sunday evening, an email will be sent out with the location for the week and any other details you need to know.

The Fall session will be focused on Macroinvertebrates. Students will gather data from different locations in and around Helena and explore topics such as classifying macroinvertebrates, symbiotic relationships, healthy ecosystems, and survival adaptations. The culminating project will be a self published booklet with all of the information that students have gathered on macroinvertebrates in and around Helena, available to families and the public to use as a resource on their local explorations!
